MODE INTERNATIONAL has organized the AEON Saga Yamato Art Museum since 2019. Kento Yamaguchi has produced all nine editions. Set within a shopping center, the project connects art with people, and people with their region.

The ninth edition explored creativity within everyday life. Encounters with artworks and the artists' creative processes offered new ways to see the familiar.

Open studios and live painting, artist talks, workshops, a nine-meter installation and participatory art events.
The eighth edition asked what human creativity means in an age of AI. Artworks, live creation, conversation and hands-on experiences encouraged visitors to feel and think for themselves.

Installations and open studios, live painting, artist talks, workshops and participatory art events.
An exhibition featuring five artists from Saga or with connections to the region. Beyond viewing or buying work, it invited visitors to consider expressing themselves and to discover the stories behind art reaching out to the world.
More than 200 works, including pieces by 20 PICFA artists, brought together different sensibilities and backgrounds. The sixth edition celebrated individuality and diversity through art.

Housui Yamaguchi Exhibition
One step at a time, and the paths those steps create.
The fifth edition invited visitors to explore the work of calligrapher Housui Yamaguchi. Large-scale works including 100000mm, sculptures and an art-covered BMW offered a pause from everyday information overload.

Custom single-character calligraphy boards, a BMW × HOUSUI YAMAGUCHI display, and a drawing board.
The fourth edition shared the Sapeurs' message of peace through photographs by SAP CHANO. Photography, dance scenes and interview films were joined by opportunities to experience the pleasure of taking photographs.

Art is for everyone. In the second edition, a wall within the shopping mall became a shared canvas where children and adults could freely express themselves and create a work together.

The AEON Saga Yamato Art Museum began in summer 2019 with Hiroe Mori's Light and Shadow — Slanting Light. Art, music and time to relax came together in a place where visitors could enjoy art in their own way.
